Purdah, Independent Feature Documentary

  • Two years ago, Kaikasha Mirza removed her burkha for the first time in order to play competitive cricket. Now, Kaikasha is the only Muslim trying out for the prestigious Mumbai Senior Women’s Cricket Team. “Purdah” is a feature documentary about her journey while overcoming societal pressure, family crises, and poverty. Reviews have called the film “inspiring,” a “must-see,” and “a real life Bend It Like Beckham.”
  • World Premiere at the Cinequest Film Festival. Will be playing at several more film festivals throughout 2018.

American Patriot, Independent Short Film

  • A dark comedy about a man who pretends to have been a New York firefighter on 9/11 to pickup women.
